Summary:PURPOSE:To simultaneously make yarn and to provide the yarn with crimping properties by extruding and molding a thermoplastic synthetic resin to give yarn, cooling the yarn, passing the yarn through a die heated so as to produce temperature difference in the vicinity of a specific die hole, taking out and drawing the yarn. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic synthetic resin is extruded and molded to form yarn 12, which is cooled, then passed through a die 1 heated by heaters 10 and 11 so as to produce temperature difference at least in the vicinity of the die bole of two parts of the die 1 divided by a plane including a central axial line 3 of the die hole 2, taken out and drawn to readily give yarn having crimping properties, uniform fiber diameter and excellent handle.
