Summary:PURPOSE:To easily retrieve a message by displaying the message one after another switchingly when a changeover switch switching the message displayed on a display section is being kept depressed. CONSTITUTION:A selective call signal sent from a base station is received by a reception circuit 2, frequency-converted and demodulated by a demodulation circuit 3. When an individual number code sent by a collation circuit 4 and a code number specific to the receiver stored in a storage section 5 are coincident and the call of its own receiver is confirmed, a message code sent from a base station is received and decoded, stored in a memory in the collation circuit 4 and displayed on a display section 10 via a display driver 9. Plural messages are stored in a memory in the collation circuit 4 and the message displayed on the display section 10 is switched one after another by depressing a changeover switch 11. Thus, it is not required to depress the changeover switch 11 for many number of times and the content of the message is easily retrieved.
