PURPOSE:To eliminate rubbing of a printing surface and to prevent the disorder of printing or contamination of a sheet surface by providing no guide in a printing unit but providing it separately, and operating it at the time of necessity. CONSTITUTION:A printing unit 9 is shunted, a slip 6 is inserted between a platen and a sheet guide 4 along the platen, and fed to a roller 5. Then, when a knob 1 is moved in a direction of an arrow B with a point E as a fulcrum, an interlocking cam 2 is also moved in the same direction, and a release arm 3 and a pressure roller 10 are moved in a direction of arrow C with a point F as a fulcrum. A guide 8 is moved upward along a platen 7 with a point E as a fulcrum by the release arm 3. When the platen 7 is moved in this state and rotated in a direction of an arrow D, the roller 5 is rotated, and the slip 6 is conveyed to a printable position along the platen 7. When a knob 1 is returned to an original position in a state that the slip 6 is set, the release arm 3 and the pressure roller 10 are returned, the guide 8 is returned, the guide 8 is removed from the operating range of the printing unit 9 to become a printable state.
