Summary:PURPOSE:To execute the visual observation of a logical level of a wiring by a colored state of a liquid crystal body by providing a transparent electrode through a second layer insulation film o the liquid crystal body provided through a first layer insulation film on an electrode. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 3 connected to the potential corresponding to a high potential level (logical level '1') of a logic circuit is provided on an insulating film 2 provided on a semiconductor substrate 1. Subsequently, a liquid crystal body 5 is provided on a first layer insulating film 4 accumulated on the surface containing the electrode 3, and a second layer insulation film 6 is provided on the surface containing the liquid crystal body 5. Also, a transparent electrode 7 is provided on the film 6, and connected to a wiring for detecting a logical level of the logic circuit. For instance, when the potential of the electrode 7 is a logical level '1', the potential of the electrode 3 is also a logical level '1', therefore, an oriented state of a liquid crystal molecule of the liquid crystal body 5 is not varied, and when the potential of the wiring is a low potential level (logical level '0') of the logic circuit, the oriented state of the liquid crystal molecule of the liquid crystal body 5 is varied. In such a way, the oriented state of the liquid crystal molecule of the liquid crystal body 5 is not varied or varied against the logical level of the wiring, and can be brought to visual observation as a colored or colorless state.
