Summary:PURPOSE:To efficiently obtain a conjugate fiber having good handle and thermally adherent properties by passing tape-like oriented laminates consisting of a high-melting point synthetic resin layer and low-melting point synthetic resin layer and having the low-melting point synthetic resin exposed on part of the surface of the laminates through an ejector to cleave the laminates. CONSTITUTION:Tape-like oriented laminates 11 and 26 consisting of at least one layer of a synthetic resin 14 (e.g. isotactic polypropylene) having high melting point and at least one layer of synthetic resins 12 and 13 (e.g. low-density polyethylene) having low melting point and having layers of the synthetic resins 12 and 13 having low melting point and exposed on at least part of surface are introduced from a nozzle inlet 22 of an ejector 21 into the ejector 21, where the laminates 11 and 26 are cleaved by a compressed fluid 25a jetted from a pressure tube 25 through pores 24 and delivered as a cleaved fiber 27 from the nozzle outlet 22 to provide the aimed conjugate fiber.
