Summary:PURPOSE:To prepare a this sheet with an improved heat resistance, nerve, lightweightness and dimensional stability and useful as a release paper base by mixing a propylene homopolymer with an inorg. filler, forming the mixture into a sheet, and then stretching the sheet in a specified stretching ratio. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. propylene homopolymer having a melt flow index (JIS K7210) of 1.0-15g/10min, pref. 2.0-10g/10min, is mixed with 3-20 pts.wt., pref. 3-15 pts.wt., inorg. filler having a means particle diameter of 5-500mum (e.g. calcium carbonate), formed into a sheet at 200-250 deg.C, and stretched in a stretching ratio of 1.5-7, pref. 1.5-6, to give a thin sheet with a thickness of 50-1000mum and a permanent set of 2% or lower.
