EXAMPLE:1-Benzyl-4-[2-[(1-indanon)-2-yl]]ethylpiperidine hydrochloride. USE:It has strong acetylcholine esterase inhibiting action and choline acetyltransferase activating action and is useful for the remedy and prevention of central nervous diseases. PREPARATION:A compound of formula I wherein B is group of formula V can be produced e.g. by reacting an acid halide of formula VI with a cyclic amine derivative of formula VII in an organic solvent in the presence of a desalting agent.
