Summary:PURPOSE:To improve keeping characteristic and Syke's life characteristic by forming a splash-proof plate to be arranged on the lower edge of an air exit that is provided on the upper wall of an electric bath out of a water-absorbent polymeric material. CONSTITUTION:An electrode extraction group for which a separator is installed between positive and negative plates is stored in an electric bath, while a splash- proof plate that is composed of a water-absorbent polymeric material is arranged on the lower edge of an air exit that is provided on the upper wall of the electric bath, and an electrolyte injected from the air exit is absorbed into the separator and into the splash-proof plate. Even when a cycle of charge and discharge is repeated or stored at high temperature for a long time, the time of exhaustion of electrolyte can be put off.
