PURPOSE:To receive picture information from a sender not knowing a designation number by adopting the constitution such that picture information is received and stored even if the designation number does not coincide in the selective communication, stored picture information is displayed on the screen and only the picture information recorded and commanded is outputted on recording paper. CONSTITUTION:Even if a code check section 3 detects noncoincidence, a code reception section 2 transfers received picture information to a reception information storage section 4, in which the information is stored. An information display section 6 receives noncoincidence information from a code check section 3, takes out the picture information of one page of relevant communication from the reception information storage section 4 and displays the first pattern on the display screen. When a recipient observes the display pattern and designates whether recording or erasing it by the recording control section 7, the information recording section 5 takes out the command part from the reception information storage section 4, which is outputted onto recording paper, while the command part is erased from the reception information storage section 4 by an erasure command.
