Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a proper image by correcting the attenuation of the signal strength of an echo signal sequence for the passage of time in a very high speed image pickup method. CONSTITUTION:An ordinary pulse is sequenced on the basis of an instruction from a host computer 3, thereby making the real image pickup of a subject 1. In this case, a gradient magnetic field GY pulse for phase encoding is applied before the occurrence of each echo signal, thereby encoding positional information in a Y direction. Furthermore, data is taken into the host computer 3 for every echo signal with a sampling pulse. In the host computer 3, data showing the strength of the second succeeding echo signals is multiplied by a correction factor for every echo signal stored in a memory device 2. As a result, the strength of many echo signals A, B, C, D and so forth is corrected to suit the strength of the first echo signal A and all signals are aligned to the same strength. Consequently, it becomes possible to reconstitute a proper image.
