Summary:PURPOSE:To remarkably shorten time required for a test by using plural subscriber test instruments and memory devices on which test links and activity status are registered. CONSTITUTION:An operator generates a line table (list of subscriber line to be tested) to be tested which becomes the target of a line test by making correspond to a subscriber line housing position number by command input to an input/output device 110. Next, the leading line of a line to be tested is extracted. Since the test status of an extracted leading line is registered on the first table 5a of a central control unit 5, the table is confirmed. When the line test is already performed on the line, the next line is extracted, and confirmation is performed on the line similarly. Thus, since the subscriber line on which no test is applied and a null subscriber test instruments are extracted sequentially and tested, it is possible to operate the plural subscriber lines and subscriber test instrument simultaneously.
