Summary: | PURPOSE:To surely prevent a photosensitive drum from being damaged by allowing a toner exhaustion absolute display means to operate a toner exhaustion display means in spite of limits by a toner exhaustion message control means in the case an output value lowers. CONSTITUTION:A toner sensor detects the concentration of toner in a developing part owing to a change in inductance, and outputs the concentration as a change in a voltage. A temperature sensor detects temperature near the developing part. When a value outputted from the toner sensor lowers to the extent which such judgement is made that the entire toner for replenishment is consumed regardless of the temperature detected by the temperature sensor, the toner exhaustion absolute display means operates the toner exhaustion display means in spite of limits by a toner exhaustion message limiting means. Consequently, the photosensitive drum can be surely prevented from being damaged by a considerable decrease in picture density, carrier attraction, etc. |
