Summary: | PURPOSE:To form graphite segregation layer uniformly dispersing crystallized graphite by casting molten cast iron having hyper eutectic component at temp. having more than the primary crystallizing temp. and segregating the crystallized grassed by utilizing the sp.gr.difference. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular parallelepiped shape wear plate pattern 1 formed with foam polystyrene is embedded into a sand mold 3 as directing side 2 of the surface to be sliding face upward and keeping horizontal. The molten metal having the specific composition is prepared and heated to the specific temp. having higher than the primary crystallizing temp. and poured from a sprue 4 in the sand mold 3. By this method, the graphite segregation layer has sufficient thickness and a sliding member suited as the sliding face having lubricating property, can be formed. |
