Summary: | PURPOSE:To obtain the title film improved in the prevention of dusting during slitting and abrasion resistance by adding inert organic polymer particles of a specified particles shape and a specified particle diameter to a biaxially oriented polyester film. CONSTITUTION:The title biaxially oriented polyester film contains 0.01-3wt.% inorganic polymer particles of a sphericity (major diameter/minor diameter) of 1.2-3.0 and a mean particle diameter of 0.1-3mum. As the inert organic polymer particles suitable to have a sphericity of 1.2-3.0, crosslinked polymer particles, especially, crosslinked spherical styrene/divinylbenzene copolymer particles are desirable. It is particularly effective in imparting better clutch resistance to the film that the heat resistance temperature of the inert organic polymer particles is at least 380 deg.C, desirably, at least 390 deg.C. Further, it is effective in improving the prevention of dusting that the crystallization acceleration coefficient of the inert organic polymer particles lies in the range of -10-+10 deg.C. |
