Summary:PURPOSE:To facilitate adjustment of a resistance value and so forth by using the driver groove of an operating knob and improve the productivity by a method wherein the operating knob is attached to an attaching base and the attaching base is tightly fixed to a case by folding the upper opening of the case to provide a tightly sealed structure which blocks solder penetration. CONSTITUTION:An operating knob 20 is attached to the upper surface of an attaching base 19 and a brush 22 is attached to the lower surface of the attaching base 19. The operating knob 20 and the brush 22 are solidly fixed to each other so as to be turned together. The attaching base 19 is supported by the step part 16 of a case 15 and fixed to the case 15 tightly by folding a part of, or the whole, protruding wall 17 which protruding upward from the case 15. The brush 22 is electrically continuous to a resistance film 12 and a contactor 21. A wall part 25 is provided around the driver groove 24 of the operating knob 20. With this constitution, the attaching base 19 and the operating knob 20 can be relatively turned and are in the contact bonding state with each other, so that solder penetration can be avoided. Further, as the attaching base 19 is tightly fixed to the case 15 by folding the protruding wall 17 of the case 15, the attaching base 19 also functions as a sealing plate.
