Summary:PURPOSE:To enable realization of an inexpensive inspector of a handy construction by arranging an optical fiber line sensor head to receive light passing through a pinhole of an object to be inspected from a linear light source and a light receiver on a focusing end face thereof. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber line sensor head 2 has a linear fiber train 2c so arranged as to grasp one end of numerous optical fibers 2a between two sheets of plates 2b and a circular end face 2d with the other end thereof bundled together. A light receiver 3 is arranged on the end face 2d tight or through an optical system. When an object 4 to be inspected is irradiated with a fluorescent lamp 1 adapted to be lighted by a high frequency across the full width thereof 4, light passing through a pinhole of the object 4 to be inspected is trapped according to a corresponding position of the fiber train 2c and appears as light signal on the end face 2d to be received 3. A correspondence is obtained between the fiber train 2c and a position on the side of the end face 2d or the optical fiber line sensor 2 is arranged in a rectangular shape on the side of the end face 2d in the order of the array of the fiber train 2c. Thus, the position of the pinhole can be recognized accurately by reading the setting thereof with a image sensor.
