Summary:PURPOSE:To make the position of each separated color data for a picture element at the same position coincide perfectly by moving a flat head in a section where light is shielded by a disk provided with a color separation filter. CONSTITUTION:A linear stage 32 moves a color transmissive original in a subscanning direction one by one line every time the irradiation to one group of the color separation filters 26A, 26B, 26C on the disk 28 is completed. Namely, this movement is performed by driving the linear stage 32 by a step motor 83 in a period when the disk 28 rotates and the section (moving section) where a shielding cover 42 is provided is irradiated by slit light. Accordingly, since the linear stage 32 is fixed at the time of irradiation by each separated color light, the positions of the corresponding picture element at every separated color light are coincident with each other independently of the precision of the stage concerned.
