PURPOSE:To exactly measure the trace concn. of an FR-900506 material by constituting an antibody for recognizing the FR-900506 material of a polyclonal antibody and monoclonal antibody at the time of detecting said material. CONSTITUTION:The antibody to recognize the antigenic determinant in the FR-900506 material is constituted of the polyclonal antibody and the monoclonal antibody. The polyclonal antibody is obtd. by conjugating the FR-900506 which is an immunogen with a carrier such as bovine serum albumin (hereafter abbreviated as 'BSA'), etc., in order to enhance the immunogenicity and isolating and refining said material by salting out, dialysis, etc., from the resultant antiserum. The monoclonal antibody is obtd. by fusing the spleen cells and bone marrow cells of an animal immunized with the BSA-FR-900506 material conjugate, selecting the hybrodoma which produces the monoclonal antibody specific to the FR-900506 material and propagating this hybridoma in the abdominal cavity of an animal and obtaining the anti-FR-900506 material monoclonal antibody from the ascites.
