Summary:PURPOSE:To optimize the starting of an induction load, by computing the optimum starting condition of the induction load with an A/D converter and a computer, and by suppressing transient current to optimize the condition. CONSTITUTION:When a power source is made, then respective set values coming from starting voltage, full load voltage, and a full load are read by a micro-computer 20. A voltage value is read out of an A/D converter 200, and a current value is read out of an A/D converter 202. Based on the the data a situation is discriminated, and the output of the ignition command of a TRIAC is generated. Then, a zero-cross point difference between voltage and current is computed, and is set to be a phase difference, and when the phase difference is increased, then the output of signal for driving an ignition circuit to reduce the ON-time of the TRIAC is generated.
