Summary:PURPOSE:To make it possible to heat deionized water efficiently, by connecting a dry gas supplying apparatus for supplying a dry gas at a pressure lower than that of deionized water in a tank with one end of an armored pipe of a heater, and connecting a thermometer for detecting the rise of moisture of the dry gas with the other end of the armored pipe of the heater. CONSTITUTION:A heater 7 comprises an armored pipe 8 of a fluorocarbon resin, a protective pipe of knitted heat resistant-glass fibers into which the pipe 8 is inserted, and a coiled heating wire 10 inserted into the protective pipe 9. The armored pipe closed at the lower end of the heater is open into a dry gas loading chamber 17 situated at the lower end of a tank 1, a gas supply pipe 1l2 with a valve 11 is connected to the loading chamber 17, a dry gas supplying apparatus 13 is connected to the end of the gas supply pipe 12, and a hygrometer 16 is connected in a gas discharge pipe 15. When the humidity of the dry gas increases due to formation of a pinhole in the armored pipe 9 of the heater or other cause, the increase in the humidity is detected by the hygrometer 16, the operation of the deionized water producing apparatus and the heater 7 is stopped, and an alarm is issued.
