Summary:PURPOSE:To manufacture easily the titled optical cable by varying a feed revolving speed of an optical fiber tape inserted into a groove in a spacer, in accordance with a length of the tape. CONSTITUTION:A covered optical fiber is laminated in a groove 2 and inserted into a spacer 1 which has provided the groove 2 spirally at a prescribed pitch on the surface of a straight linear body. When a thickness is denoted as D with regard to only 1, 2...(m) pieces from the bottom of the groove 2, of the laminated covered optical fibers, and a pitch is denoted as (p) by a radius (a) of the bottom face of the groove of the spacer 1, a constant epsilonn is derived by an expression I, and the covered optical fiber is inserted into the groove 2 in the spacer 1. In this process, a feed revolving speed of a bobbin for feeding the covered optical fiber inserted into the bottom face of the groove 2 is denoted as r1, and a feed revolving speed rn of the bobbin for feeding the n-th covered optical fiber inserted from the bottom face of the groove 2 is set to a such a revoving speed as given by an expression II.
