PURPOSE:To conduct the pipe exchanging smoothly by driving a conveyor in the direction making a peg tray line close to a pipe exchanger, and after the pipe exchanging work, driving the conveyor in the direction making the peg tray line apart from the pipe exchanger. CONSTITUTION:In the state where a pipe exchanger 1 is stopped in the position where an intake of peg tray 12 corresponds to one end of a peg tray 12 line disposed on a belt conveyor 10, the conveyor 10 is driven in the direction making the peg tray line close to the pipe exchanger 1 to take the determined number of peg tray lines 1 into the pipe exchanger 1, and then the conveyor 10 is stopped. Then, the pie exchanger is run along a spindle rail 8 to conduct a pie exchanging work of successively exchanging a fill bobbin F on the spindle 11 with an empty bobbin E on the conveyor 10. After the empty bobbin E is inserted to the last spindle 11 on the spindle 11 line, the running of the pipe exchanger 1 is stopped, and the conveyor 10 is driven in the direction making the tray 12 line apart from the pipe exchanger 1 to receive the tray 12 to which the full bobbin F is inserted onto the conveyor 10 successively.
