Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a detergent composition for hair and skin, containing an alkylphosphoric acid ester salt, a higher fatty acid salt and a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether carboxylic acid salt, having mild feeling and high safety to human body and exhibiting excellent frothing property and bubble quality. CONSTITUTION:The subject composition contains 3-40wt.% (preferably 5-20wt.%) of a compound of formula I or II (R1-R3 are 10-18C alkyl; M1 is alkali metal or alkanolamine; M2 is H, alkali metal or alkanolamine; l, m and n are 1-10), 3-20wt.% of a compound of formula III (R4 is 9-17C alkyl; M3 is alkali metal or alkanolamine) and 1-15wt.% (preferably 3-10wt.%) of a compound of formula IV (R5 is 10-18C alkyl; M4 is alkali metal or alkanolamine; p is 1-30). The ratio of the monoester of formula I to the diester of formula II is preferably 100:0-50:50 (especially 100:0-70:30) from the viewpoint of frothing property.
