Summary:PURPOSE:To improve energy efficiency by composing a vibrator of a pair of parallel legs and a body for connecting them with an elastic blank as material. CONSTITUTION:Parallel legs 1-2, and a body 3 for connecting one ends of the legs are provided, and the sections of the parts made of elastic materials are formed wholly in a U shape, thereby constructing a vibrator 4. The corners of the vibrator 4 are chamferred at 45 degrees with respect to the legs 1, 2 and the body 3, and piezoelectric elements 6, 7 are attached to the mounting faces 5. The vibrator 4 is used at the legs 1, 2 in contact at the lower ends with the upper face of rail 8, a groove 8a is formed on the upper face of the rail 8, and engaged with the lower ends of the legs. Thus, when the vibrator 4 is vibrated by the elements 6, 7, a standing wave vibration responsive to the vibrating frequency or the like is generated. As a result of the vibration, an elliptical vibration is excited at the ends of the legs 1, 2. Accordingly, it is brought into contact with the rail 8 to relatively move them.
