Summary:PURPOSE:To sharply improve and stabilize electric conductivity by constituting a positive electrode current collector with aluminum or its alloy and electrically connecting it to a positive electrode terminal section in contact with the inner periphery of a case while the outermost periphery section of the current collector is exposed. CONSTITUTION:The current collector 7 of a positive electrode 2 is constituted of aluminum or its alloy, it is electrically connected to a positive electrode terminal section 4a in contact with the inner periphery of a case 4 while the outermost peripheral section 7a of the current collector is exposed. The electric conductivity of aluminum is 62% of that of copper and very high according to this constitution. The contact is made in a wide contact area, the spiral is expanded and spread and the inner tube section of the case is pressed together with the spring effect of a wound group, thus a high contact pressure can be maintained between the current collector and the case, a sufficient electric connection state is obtained, there is no resistance increase over a long period. The aluminum alloy added with 0.1-15wt.% of at least one kind selected among a group of Cu, Mg, Mn, Si to aluminum is used.
