Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain the subject drug preparation having uniform drug content and uniform particle size in high yield, by forming minute frozen particles from a suspension of a drug and a polymer binder, etc., dropping the particles on a powdery bed composed of fine powder of a film-forming component and forming a coating film on the surface of the minute frozen particle. CONSTITUTION:A suspension or solution of a drug (e.g., cephalosporin or ketoprofen) or a drug and a polymer binder (e.g., ethylcellulose, polyacrylic acid or polyvinyl alcohol) is formed into minute frozen particles and dropped on a powdery bed composed of fine powder of a film-forming component (e.g., polyvinyl acetal dimethylaminoacetate), thereby forming a coating film on the surface of the minute frozen particle to obtain the objective uniform fine film preparation. The above process is effective in stabilizing the drug, improving the slowly releasing property, masking the bitter taste and improving the wettability, fluidity and tableting performance of the composition.
