PURPOSE:To prevent the cold drink housing chamber of the title automatic vending machine from being cooled insufficiently by controlling the quantity of the refrigerant so that the quantity can become almost the same when the coolant is circulated through 1st and 2nd evaporators and when the coolant is circulated through the 1st evaporator only. CONSTITUTION:The outlet-side pipe of a condenser 10, 2nd solenoid valve 22, a chamber 23 provided in the vicinity of the 1st evaporator 7A of a chamber 3A, and the suction pipe 15B of the 2nd evaporator 7B are continuously provided. Therefore, the circulated quantity of the refrigerant can be controlled to almost the same when the refrigerant is circulated though the 1st and 2nd evaporators 7A and 7B and when the refrigerant is circulated through the 1st evaporator 7A only. As a result, the early turning-off operations of a 1st thermostat 17 of a chamber 3A for housing cold drink only can be prevented and insufficient cooling of the chamber 3A can be eliminated. Thus insufficient cooling of the cold article housing chamber can be prevented.
