Summary: | PURPOSE:To surely discriminate the propriety of the printing of a cylindrical matter by constituting the title device so that it can quantitatively measure the variable density of colors for printing in a state where a color printed cylindrical matter is developed. CONSTITUTION:A printing propriety discriminating device for the cylindrical matter is provided with a cylindrical matter holding rotating board 1 and a CCD camera 2 incorporating a color line sensor, arranged on a position facing to a beer can C made of aluminum which s the color printed cylindrical matter on the board 1, which makes image data obtained by picking up the image of all the periphery of the can C stored in the memory of a computer. When the images of all the periphery of the can C are vertically and sequentially picked up with the CCD camera 2 by rotating the rotating board 1 once, the image data obtained thus is stored in the computer through an A/D converter and at the same time all the periphery of the can C which is developed is displayed on the display for an image monitor. By positioning a cursor at a measured spot on a developed printed surface P, the luminance values of three primary colors corresponding to said spot are read out from the memory, then they are displayed on a display for comparing the measured values to decide the propriety. |
