PURPOSE:To automatically and completely tune an antenna to a desired frequency by driving an antenna length adjusting driving circuit again and obtaining the best turning point when a circuit to calculate a wavelength is provided based on the data of a desired frequency storing circuit and the tuning point is not set at the best point. CONSTITUTION:The title device is composed of a desired frequency storing circuit 1, a desired frequency indicator 8, a 1/2lambda(1/4lambda) calculating circuit 2, a circuit 3 to expand an antenna element, etc. Further, a tuning circuit 5 is provided to correct electrically when tuning is not obtained for the desired frequency and the length of the antenna element adjusted to the wavelength of the 1/2lambda(1/4lambda). The tuning condition of the desired frequency and the antenna element expanded to the 1/2lambda(1/4lambda) is detected by a tuning detecting circuit 6, confirmed by a spectrum analyzer or the displaying circuit of a VSWR gauge and the adjustment is obtained again. Thus, the antenna can be tuned to the desired frequency automatically and completely.
