PURPOSE:To make improvements in maintainability by molding an engine side cylinder block inclusive a crankshaft and a transmission side casing inclusive of a countershaft and an input shaft partitively free of attachment or detachment. CONSTITUTION:An idler gear 11 is engaged with a crank gear 7 whereby power is transmitted to a transmission. An engine side cylinder block 1 and a transmission side casing 10 are made dividable free of attachment or detachment in design. At the time of reassembly after maintenance is over, since there is no troublesome work such as connection of chains, working time is well shortened. In addition, the engine side cylinder block 1 has a part pivotally supporting a crankshaft 5, and the transmission side casing 10 has a part pivotally supporting a countershaft 13 and an input shaft 14, so that there is unnecessary to divide a shaft and bearing part at the time of maintenance.
