Summary:PURPOSE:To discriminate whether an operator touches a storage device or not by detecting the potential or the waveform change through a conductor provided on the storage device. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a memory card 2 is coated with a conductor like a metallic foil, and a touch sensor controller 5 is connected to an electrode 4. The touch sensor controller 5 detects a signal having a prescribed frequency from the conductor brought into contact with, for example, the electrode 4. An AC noise of 50-60Hz low frequency is normally generated in the human body; and when the controller 5 detects this signal, it is judged that the operator's finger touches the memory card 2, and an interrupt signal is outputted to a CPU 1. A buzzer 6 is connected to the CPU 1 so that a warning is given at the time of touching an IC cad during the access to the memory card 2. Thus, the warning is given at an early timing because the touch is detected at the movement of touch of the memory card 2.
