Summary:PURPOSE:To enable the high-speed processing of character drawing by decomposing the component of a character to a simple polygon, arranging the coordinates of vectors displaying the relative positions of the corners of the polygon and expressing a polygon and storing a series of coordinates displaying each polygon in a storage means. CONSTITUTION:A character 'U' is decomposed to triangles T1-T8, and the figure is printed by drawing through graphic processing. A vector v1 represents the white vector of positional movement, and the coordinates (x1, y1) of a drawing start point are stored in an R3 vector register 311e. The coordinates (x2, y2) of the end point of a vector v2 are stored in an R2 vector register 311d. The vector represents a black vector displaying the position of actual drawing. Likewise, the coordinates (x3, y3) of the end point of a vector v3 are stored in an R1 vector register 311c, and the triangle T1 is drawn in an external-shape bit map memory (BM-RAM) 32. Likewise, the triangles T2-T4 are drawn in the memory 32. The triangles T5-T8 are drawn in the memory 32 in the same manner as mentioned above after a white vector v7 regarding the next drawing start point, thus completing drawing.
