Summary:PURPOSE:To apply a phosphor in a fine pattern so as to enable the reuse of the excessive by applying the phosphor to a thermally softened and fused material which is heated by the irradiation heat of a laser beam, and removing the excessive phosphor in a dry manner. CONSTITUTION:On the surface 1a of a transmissive base 1, the followings are sequentially formed: a specifically patterned anode conductor 2 made of indium, tin, oxide film, a connection layer 3 made of thermally softened and fused material, a phosphor layer 4. A laser beam 5 is emitted from the back face 1b of the base 1 and absorbed by the anode conductor 2, thus generating heat. By this heat, the part of the layer being in contact with the conductor 2 is stuck through thermally softening and fusing actions. The covering of phosphor is finely performed in accordance with the pattern of anode conductor 2. The part of phosphor not stuck can be recovered without no contamination by e.g., the dry developing method with an air blast 6 and can be reused.
