PURPOSE:To stop paper or the like supplied one by one, in a condition that there is no floating or skew in a presenting device by providing a guide plate having the inclination about of 20 deg. and suitably determining the arranging position and dimension of a pressing roller. CONSTITUTION:A guide plate 3 has the inclination about of 20 deg. in a deep direction to a vertical direction. The paper or the like 1 are carried by a bottom surface belt, which is driven by a motor 4, and a side surface belt 6. When the tip of the paper of the like is detected by a photo-electric switch 7, after the fixed delay time from this detection, the motion of the bottom surface belt 5 and side surface belt 6 is stopped with interrupting the transmission of the driving force of the motor 4 by the operation of an electro-magnetic clatch brake 8. A pressing roller 10 presses the lower part of the paper or the like from a side, which faces to the side surface belt 5, to the side surface belt 6 and a roller 11 which is provided with being faced to the roller 10. Thus, since the paper or the like are stopped in a restrained condition, a stable stop condition can be obtained.
