PURPOSE:To prevent corona discharge from generating unevenness on the under coated layer of the back plane of a supporting body to process corona discharge by using a crown roll for an earth roll and/or the guide roll which is just prior to the earth roll. CONSTITUTION:The title device for a plastic film use is provided with the earth roll 1 composed of a metal roll 2 coated with a substrating layer 3, the guide roll 6 and a discharging electrode 4, and the diameter of the roll 1 and/or the roll 6 is increased as it comes closer to the center from the end. Thus, when the back plane is corona discharge processed by running the supporting body 5 in the arrowed direction, the roll 1 and the supporting body 5 can be carried by adhering to each other without space over the width direction, and the discharge unevenness at the under coated layer due to back discharging is prevented.
