Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent the switching loss of phosphor slurry due to the difference of kinds by using a carrier intermittently transferring a cathode-ray tube panel to positions where various processes of coating works are applied while keeping it at the required attitude. CONSTITUTION:Cathode-ray tube panels P of different kinds which are different in type or coated paint are held by an automatic angle changing robot 60 and transferred by a conveyor 21. Devices applying various processes of coating works such as washers 23-25, heating driers 26-29, phosphor slurry coating machines 30-35, exposing devices 46 and developing devices 48-50 are arranged along the line of the conveyor 21. The panel P is circulated on various processes at the attitude in response to each process. Operations of the automatic angle changing robot 60 and the conveyor 21 are controlled via a computer 71, a sequencer 72 and a transmission and reception control section master unit for optical communication 70.
