Summary:PURPOSE:To increase torque transmitted between a rotor and a carrier body by causing the rotor to be pressed against the carrier body with a large force according to the complete diamagnetic property of a superconductor. CONSTITUTION:A superconductive coil 107 is opposedly disposed spaced from a rotor 104 having a permanent magnet axially movably mounted on the end of a drive shaft 1. A carrier body 203 opposed to the rotor 104 is fixedly secured to the end of a driven shaft 2. The end of a sleeve 105 provided rotatably integrally with the drive shaft 1 contacts the rear surface of the rotor 104, and a tension spring 106 acting to attracting the rotor 104 is provided between the rotor 104 and the sleeve 105.
