Summary: | PURPOSE:To facilitate the replacement of cooling, heating and blowing units, and also to enable an air conditioner to be installed inconspicuously, by arranging each of said separated units on the back surface of a partition and by utilizing the partition to serve as a duct. CONSTITUTION:A partition 1 serves as a duct, and each of a cooling unit, a blowing unit and a heating unit 13, 14 and 15 is arranged on the back surface of the partition 1. The casing 16 of the blowing unit 14 has a communicating port 17 to the partition on the front surface of said casing, and communicating ports 18 and 19 to the upper and lower units are opened and closed by dampers. In a cooling operation, a handle 23 is slided downwardly to open the upper damper and close the lower damper. In a heating operation, the handle 23 is slided to the upper position. According to this method, the cold air in the cooling unit 13 is blown out of the cooling unit 13 into a room through a cooling air passage 4 and returns to the cooling unit 13 through a return air passage 5 and via the blowing unit 14. |
