Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain an Al powder molded body having excellent self-lubrication characteristics, wear resistance and strength by mixing specific ratios of artificial spheroidal carbon to the fine powder of the Al alloy contg. Al or specific amounts of Mg and subjecting the mixture to extrusion molding. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. fine powder of 10-200mum average grain size of pure Al or the Al alloy contg. 0.3-15wt.% Mg and 2-100pts.wt. artificial graphite carbon having 2-50mum average grain size as a solid lubricator are mixed. The mixed powder is, e.g., subjected to extrusion molding at 400 deg.C, by which the Al powder molded body as a vane of a vacuum pumb, compressor, etc., and furthermore as a bearing, mechanical seals, etc., to which self-lubrication characteristics, wear resistance, strength, etc., are required can be obtd.
