Summary:PURPOSE:To facilitate production and design of an IC by providing a first counter constituting a 1/2 frequency dividing circuit, a second counter constituting a 1/5 frequency dividing circuit, and a third counter constituting a 1/3 frequency dividing circuit. CONSTITUTION:A second 1/5 counter 15 and a third 1/3 counter 16 which subject the output of a first counter 14 to frequency division are provided. The third 1/3 counter 16 whose input is different in phase from the input of the second counter by 180 deg. is controlled by the second 1/5 counter 15, and OR between respective reset pulses is operated by an OR gate 17. Consequently, 2/5 frequency division of 4fsc is possible. Thus, the operating frequency can be reduced to a half at the time of making a device into an IC, and production and design are facilitated.
