Summary: | PURPOSE:To provide a grafting technique capable of automatic mass production of grafted plants, by using, as grafting materials, individual sprouts produced by culture of isolated plant tissue. CONSTITUTION:Figures 1 to 4 show such a grafting technique that a grafting material 2, i.e., so called heat-type embryo, torpedo-type embryo or an embryo at the beginning of cotyledon differentiation is grafted to a rootstock 1 of plugged nursery shape. In this case, said rootstock 1 is a plugged nursery having been subjected to tissue culture or inorganic growth. And, as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the top of the rootstock 1 is cut off so as to represent V-shape (removing a cut piece 3), and the grafting material 2 is laid on the cut area 4 of the rootstock 1 as presented is Figs. 3 and 4. In this case, the root of the grafting material 2 is not cut off, that is, when said root is to degenerated after the grafting, or when such a tissue as not to be differentiated with the sprouts germinated, not an embryo-like matter, is to be used, the grafting is carried out as that described above. |
