Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent a photosensitive body from being filmed with a developer by preventing the developer from being supplied onto a developing sleeve by a conveyance sleeve prior to the stop of development. CONSTITUTION:The developer is inhibited from being supplied onto the developing sleeve 4a by the conveyance sleeve 5a prior to the stop of the developing sleeve 4a. Namely, the developer is not supplied by the stop of the conveyance sleeve 5a prior to the stop of the developing sleeve 4a, but the developing sleeve 4a rotates thereafter for a prescribed time and the developer remaining on the developing sleeve 4a is scraped by scraping plates 8 and 9 and is reduced or not present. Consequently, the photosensitive body is prevented almost completely from being filmed with the developer during the stop of the device.
