Summary:PURPOSE:To enable the production of an image sensor that is as large as a text and therefore is directly readable by a method wherein the photoconductive film of a photosensitive element is built of a specified disazo compound and a specified hydrazone compound. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive film of a photosensitive element is com posed of a disazo compound represented by a formula l and a hydrazone com pound represented by a formula II. Such a photoconductive film mainly com posed of an azo pigment and a hydrazone compound may be used as a photosen sitive element photoconductive material because it is higher in responding speed than a film that is mainly composed only of an azo pigment and because the mobility of carriers therein is higher. In the formulas illustrated, the A represents a formula III or IV; the X an aromatic compound or a hetero-ring, or its substitution product; the Ar1 an aromatic compound or a hetero-ring, or its substitution product; the Ar2 an aromatic compound or its substitution product; R1-R3 hydrogen, a lower alkyl group, and a phenyl group, or their substitution products; and R4 a lower alkyl group or a phenyl group or a carboxyl group, or its ester.
