Summary: | PURPOSE:To raise an alarm for welding abnormality and to improve a monitoring function of the welding abnormality by detecting the number of revolutions of feed rollers and measuring the quantity of consumption of a welding wire per work unit based on this detected value and comparing it with a reference value. CONSTITUTION:A noncontact type proximity switch 18 is fitted to a wire feed motor 6 in close vicinity to the wire feed rollers 11 and 12. A counter 26 is provided to an interface 22 of a robot control circuit and receives the output from the proximity switch 18 as a sensor for measuring the quantity of rotation of the rollers and counts the number of pulses thereof. The wire feed quantity for every weld line is recorded on a RAM21 as one of the data of a robot working program for every member to be welded. A CPU19 operates the wire feed quantity and stores it in the RAM21 which is displayed on a display 25 and made to the reference value. The wire feed quantity during welding work is calculated and stored temporarily in the RAM21 and compared with the reference value and when the difference between both values becomes larger than an allowable value, its alarm signal is transmitted onto the display 25 and to the outside. |
