Summary:NEW MATERIAL:The titled compound that is obtained by coordinating a divalent metal with a compound of formula I [X is divalent aliphatic chain, polyalkylenepolyamine chain; Y, Y' are group of formula II (m is 0-2; R, R1 are H, alkyl), the residual group is H; M is heavy metal]. EXAMPLE:A complex of manganese N-(2-hydroxy)ethylenebisdithiocarbamate. USE:Chemicals for agriculture and industry, antibacterial, insecticide, acaricide and slime controller for industrial use: they can prevent the stains and damages caused by mildew and microorganisms growing on coated films. PREPARATION:A soluble metal salt such as zinc chloride, zinc sulfate, cobalt chloride or copper nitrate is added to a suspension or slurry of a metal salt of N-substituted dithiocarbamic acid to effect the reaction at 0-50 deg.C, thus producing the compound of formula I.
