Summary:PURPOSE:To decrease the contact resistance between a limiter and supporting material by bringing the same faces of plural pieces of plate pieces consisting of a pyrolytic graphite in the direction where the thermal conductivity is lower into contact with each other and fastening the respective plate pieces by means of fastening members via retaining plates interposed on the outside circumferences of the plate pieces. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of the pyrolytic graphite plate pieces 21 cut and worked from the plate of the pyrolytic graphite to nearly an L shape are brought into contact with each other and are fastened and fixed by means of a bolt 22 and nut to form a limiter body. This limiter body is fixed via the retaining plates 23 to the supporting material 4 by means of a bolt 24 and nut 27. The supporting material 4 is fixed by a bolt 26 to the inside wall of a vacuum vessel 1. The heat of plasma flows to the direction where the thermal conductivity of the plate pieces 21 is higher when the pieces 21 receives said heat at the top parts thereof. This heat is transmitted through the contact parts to the material 4 and the wall of the vessel 1 and is thereby cooled. Since the limiter body is fastened by means of the bolt 24 and the nut 2 to the side wall of the material 4, the contact face pressure between the limiter and the material 4 is increased.
