Summary: | PURPOSE:To attain simple constitution, small size, light weight and low cost by installing a photodetector around the 1st lens. CONSTITUTION:A ring shape support 7 is installed to the outer circumference of the 1st lens 5 with a prescribed interval, ring shaped photodetectors 9a, 9b split horizontally from the center in the tracking direction along the inner wall of the support 7 and photodetectors 11a, 11b in the optical direction are provided duplicatedly. That is, the light from a light source 1 is collimated through the 1st lens 5, the focus is light comes onto the track of an information recording medium 15 by the 2nd lens 13 and its reflected light traces the same optical path oppositely. Thus, the same optical path is used for the light from a light source and the light toward the photodetector by an information recording medium and the light toward the photodetector. Then the structure is simplified, small size, light weight and low cost are attained. |
