Summary:PURPOSE:To improve the operating efficiency for arrangement of document by designating the arrangement of the document where the contents are hierarchically described based on the chapters and paragraphs against a group of blocks or the level of a hierarchical structure. CONSTITUTION:A block control means 1 controls hierarchically plural text blocks and their attributes. Then a text memory means 2 is used to store the texts together with a command processing means 3 which receives a document arrangement command and processes this command, a structure display means 4 which displays the structure between text blocks by means of the header names given to the text blocks, and a document showing means 5 which displays or delivers the text blocks according to the structures and attributes stored in the means 1. Thus the manipulated variable is reduced and the operating efficiency is improved for arrangement of documents.
