Summary: | PURPOSE: To obtain a warp knitted fabric having a dry touch, warmth, fullness, softness and a voluminous feeling without slipperiness on the surface of the fabric by knitting the warp knitted fabric using a special nonturning crimped yarn. CONSTITUTION: This warp knitted fabric is formed by using a crimped yarn which is a nonturning crimped yarn comprising a polyester multifilament yarn, having interlaced bundled parts 12 and crimped parts 11 in the yarn longitudinal direction and <=0.5 crimp shape factor defined by the crimp extension ratio (CE)/number of crimps (N). The crimped yarn can be obtained by carrying out an interlacing treatment of a polyester multifilament yarn having <=50% skrinkage percentage in boiling water with an air jetting stream, forming the interlaced bundled parts 12 in the longitudinal direction of the yarn, then heat- treating the resultant yarn, setting the form, subsequently extending the heat- treated yarn and eliminating a part of loops 13 or the interlaced bundled parts 12. |
