Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce a concentration of stress without varying a pipe pitch of a membrane and a structure of a main body by a method wherein a membrane end piece provided with a gradual curved surface is integrally welded to one end of a membrane bar by a welding and the extremity end of the piece is provided with a cutout having a specific shape. CONSTITUTION:An end of a membrane bar 14 is provided with a membrane end piece 17 having its shape gradually varied and further having a curved line finish more than 6mm at its end. In this way, the membrane end piece 17 is processed by a curved line work 18 more than 6mm, thereby a coefficient of concentration of stress approaches 1, a safety characteristic of the membrane end is increased and then a crack and a leakage accident at the membrane end caused by the concentration of stress can be prevented. This becomes an effective factor in case of improving a proof-stress against an increased number of stoppage of operation under DSS operation through an intermediate load application in particular in a boiler for a coal power plant.
